Bringing together the palms in prayer mudra connects the right and the left hemispheres of the brain and connects the practitioner with spirituality/god/divinity. It promotes respect for oneself and others. It is considered a natural remedy for stress and anxiety and is useful for entering into a meditative state.

The venus lock is symbolized by the planet Venus which is associated with the energy of sensuality and sexuality. The mudra channels sexual energy and promotes glandular balance. It also brings the ability to focus or concentrate easily if you rest it in your lap while in a meditative posture.
